Ready-to-Use Prompt (Command) Examples
1. How to write a good prompt
- Write what you want completely, in a single message: structure type, number and height of storeys, dimensions, thicknesses, material, code, earthquake values.
- Specify the units: The length unit in StatiCAD is the centimetre; if you write “5 m”, the agent converts it to 500 cm, but writing it explicitly prevents errors.
- Give the location: “bottom-left corner (0,0)”, “on the line x = 500 cm”, “on storey 1”. Storey 0 is the foundation.
- Have it ask about unknowns: “Do not make up a value you do not know; ask me.”
- Ask for a plan first: “First list what you will do, point by point, and wait for my approval.”
- Say where to save: “Save it as C:\StatiCAD\AI_Projeler\bina1.sy4; if the file exists, ask before overwriting it.”
- Ask for a summary: “After each step, summarize what you did in two sentences.”
Prompts in the boxes: Copy the prompt with the copy button at the top right of the box and paste it into the agent's message box; change the dimensions, the example earthquake values, and the folder and file names to suit your own project.
2. Starting the session (Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity)
Ultimate, short version:
Read the AGENTS.md and YARDIM_AI_KOMUTLAR.md files in the C:\StatiCAD\Ultimatex64 folder. I want you to create my projects by using the program (StatiCAD.exe) through the terminal and, when needed, with computer use.
Ultimate, version that states the rules from the start:
Read the AGENTS.md and YARDIM_AI_KOMUTLAR.md files in the C:\StatiCAD\Ultimatex64 folder. You will use StatiCAD.exe through the terminal channel (--term) and, when needed, with computer use.
- If the program is open, do not start it a second time; if it is closed, start it with --term and wait for it to open.
- Save the projects in the C:\StatiCAD\AI_Projeler folder; ask me before overwriting an existing file.
- Do not change section, material or earthquake values unless I tell you to; ask me for any value you do not know.
When you are ready, test the connection with PING and ask me what I want to do.
Hybrid:
Read the YARDIM_AI_KOMUTLAR.md and AI_Terminal_yardim.md files in the C:\StatiCAD\Hybrid folder (this edition has no AGENTS.md). I want you to create my projects by using the program (StatiCAD.exe) through the terminal and, when needed, with computer use.
Editions without a terminal (computer use):
I am using StatiCAD Profesyonel; the program file is C:\StatiCAD\V10ProX64\StatiCAD.exe. This edition has no terminal channel; you will use the program through the screen with computer use.
- First read AGENTS.md if it exists in the C:\StatiCAD\V10ProX64 folder; if it does not, proceed by reading the screen.
- If the program is open, do not start it a second time. Before every click, verify the target with a screenshot.
- Ask me before overwriting existing files and before closing the program.
When you are ready, take a screenshot of the main screen, briefly describe what you see and ask me what I want to do.
3. Setting up a new project
Masonry building:
Create a new project:
- Masonry building, TBDY 2018, 2 storeys, storey height 280 cm.
- Outer dimensions 10 m × 8 m; bottom-left corner (0,0). Exterior walls 25 cm.
- Interior wall: on the line x = 500 cm, from bottom to top, 20 cm.
- Slabs 12 cm reinforced concrete; 80×40 continuous foundation under the exterior walls.
- Earthquake: soil class ZC, SS = 1.2, S1 = 0.35 (example values).
First list what you will do, point by point, and wait for my approval. Then build the model, run the analysis, summarize the warnings and save the project as C:\StatiCAD\AI_Projeler\deneme1.sy4.
Reinforced concrete frame:
Create a new reinforced concrete project: TBDY 2018, building type reinforced concrete, 3 storeys, storey height 300 cm.
Grid spacing 5 m + 5 m in the X direction and 4 m + 4 m in the Y direction; bottom-left corner (0,0).
40×40 columns at all grid line intersections, 25×50 beams along the grid lines, slabs 15 cm. Concrete C30, steel B420C.
Earthquake: soil class ZC, SS = 1.0, S1 = 0.28, building importance factor 1 (example values).
First list what you will do, point by point, and wait for my approval. Then build the model, run the analysis, summarize the warnings and the insufficient elements, and save the project as C:\StatiCAD\AI_Projeler\betonarme1.sy4.
Timber building:
Set up a single-storey timber building: 6 m × 4 m, storey height 270 cm, timber shear walls, timber beams C24.
Set the building type to timber; enter the code and earthquake values by asking me for them.
First write your plan and wait for my approval; then build the model, run the analysis and summarize the results.
4. Working with an existing project
Open the file C:\Projeler\okul.sy4 (if a project is open, first ask me whether I want to save it).
Summarize the number of storeys, the code and the earthquake parameters.
Run the analysis; when it finishes, explain the warnings in the project check list in order of importance.
Do not change any values; only report.
List the insufficient columns and beams in the analysis warnings: storey, element name, reason for the insufficiency.
For each of them, suggest a possible solution (enlarging the section, reinforcement, etc.) but do not change anything; get my approval first.
5. Project from an architectural DXF plan
The agent reads and interprets the DXF file itself and draws the model in StatiCAD. Carry out the job in four stages; the first prompt below has it report what is in the file. The interpretation, drawing and analysis-report-drawing prompts and the preparation of the DXF (cleanup, PURGE): Structural project from an architectural DXF plan.
Read the AGENTS.md and YARDIM_AI_KOMUTLAR.md files in the C:\StatiCAD\Ultimatex64 folder.
Then read the architectural plan C:\StatiCAD\AI_Projeler\zemin_kat.dxf with a script (install Python and ezdxf if necessary); do not paste the whole file into the chat.
Report the following to me:
- drawing unit and drawing extents (minimum / maximum X, Y),
- layers, the object types on each layer and their counts,
- block names and how many times they are used,
- texts (room names, levels) and dimensions,
- objects on layers that are off or frozen, objects outside model space (layout) and drawing fragments far away from the plan.
Do not draw anything in StatiCAD yet.
6. Reading the results
Extract the earthquake summary of the last analysis: dominant periods, mass participation ratios, base shear force, relative storey drifts and their limits.
Write it as a table; if a value exceeds the code limit, point it out separately.
Summarize the internal forces of the shear walls and walls storey by storey; show the five most heavily loaded elements and their utilization ratios.
7. Reports and drawings
Select and create all reports; when finished, export them as C:\StatiCAD\AI_Projeler\okul_rapor.pdf and verify that the file has been created.
Save the project, then draw the storey plans and export the drawing as C:\StatiCAD\AI_Projeler\okul_planlar.dxf.
In the demo version: Report, DXF and IFC export are disabled in demo installations; the agent reports this as “disabled in the demo version”.
8. Short prompts for the built-in assistant
The AI Console works best with short, single-task requests:
Request
---
“Set the code to TBDY 2018 and set the building type to masonry.”
“Add a 280 cm high storey on top of the building.”
“On storey 1, draw a 25 cm wall between (0,0) and (1000,0).”
“Place a 30×30 column at point (500,400).”
“Run the analysis and summarize the warnings when it finishes.”
“Save the project as C:\Projeler\deneme.sy4; if the file exists, ask me first.”
Setup: Built-in assistant article.
9. Safety sentences
You can add these to the end of your request:
- “Ask me before overwriting an existing file.”
- “Do not close the program and do not start it a second time.”
- “Do not change section, material or earthquake values unless I tell you to.”
- “Do not make up a value you do not know; ask me.”
- “First write your plan and wait for my approval.”
- “When the job is finished, list every change you made, point by point.”
The plan, price and menu names of Anthropic, OpenAI and Google services may change over time; for up-to-date information, see the linked official pages. The model built and the results produced by the AI must be checked by the responsible engineer.
