Frequently asked questions about licensing, the dongle and purchasing

Is the USB dongle mandatory?​

Yes. All StatiCAD editions, including Hybrid, run with a USB dongle. The program only opens on the computer where the dongle is attached. For installing the dongle drivers and solving dongle issues, see the Dongle Problem article.

How many computers can I install the program on?​

You can install it on as many computers as you like; the program runs on whichever computer the dongle is attached to at that moment. If the dongle is not attached, the program does not open.

Is there a student or trial version?​

There is no student version. In the demo version you can save your files and run analyses; however, no report output can be produced and only the results of 3 elements per storey are shown on screen.

Licence types: annual subscription or lifetime?​

  • Hybrid and Ultimate: annual subscription. The first-year subscription fee is paid; in the following years you continue with a discounted renewal fee. There is no monthly subscription.
  • Profesyonel, Standart, Yığma Pro, Yığma Standart, Betonarme: lifetime licence.
  • Current prices are listed on the product pages and in the store (shop.staticad.com).

Are updates paid?​

With an annual subscription, all updates are included for the duration of the subscription. With lifetime licences, updates within the same version are free; an upgrade fee is charged for major version changes. If you do not upgrade, the version you purchased can be used for life. Can I upgrade to a higher edition?​

Yes. For example, upgrading from Yığma Standart to Yığma Pro, or from V7 to V9, is possible by paying the price difference. Contact support for the upgrade price.

How do I find out which edition my licence is?​

  • When you log in to your customer panel (https://www.staticad.com.tr/oz/giris.aspx), your licensed products are listed.
  • The version number is shown on the program's start screen.
  • Inside the program, you can also see the version information in the About window under the Help menu on the main screen.

If you are not sure, write to support together with your licensed user name.

Payment and instalment options​

Through the store (shop.staticad.com), 6 interest-free instalments are available on Bonus and Kombo cards; on other cards, 6 instalments are applied via a secure payment link. There is no separate instalment option for specific banks.

Where do I download the program I purchased?​

Program setup files and dongle files are downloaded from the customer panel: https://www.staticad.com.tr/oz/giris.aspx . If you do not have a user name and password, open a support request stating your licensed user name. For installation steps, see 32-bit version installation.

Can a masonry building with stone walls be analysed?​

Yes. Stone walls can be defined in a masonry building; the wall material properties (unit weight, modulus of elasticity, strength) are entered in the material definition.
